What a fabulous find this shop Kiko in Covent Garden was. Outstanding products and what great prices! I bought several lip items for the equivalent of one in a nearby shop - identical quality but £4 compared to £22!! The greeting as we walked in was warm and genuine. I took my 18 year old Granddaughter and we were both in makeup heaven. We were given bespoke service by a delightful young man - Sofian- who complimented me in an entirely appropriate manner for ‘not being afraid of using colour.’ He was a skilled professional and gave excellent advice to both of us. We purchased some lovely products which are of high quality. I live in Hertfordshire a long way from Covent Garden but we will come back very soon to visit this shop quite specifically to purchase more products which are forthcoming. Thank heavens for ‘good old fashioned’ quality customer service and a really enjoyable shopping experience from all the staff. A real gem of a shop. Thank you Sofian and Kiko. See you soon! A wide range of selection - got something that is currently out of stock in Milan! Also a good mix of experience with only one visit - I walked in to get an eye shadow that was out of stock in Milan, a lady approached warmly when I just found it so I told her that I didn’t need help. Walking to the counter, I found an adorable blush palette and tried it on - loved it. Before putting the test set back, it was somewhat just taken out of my hand by a male SA - then asked what I needed after this. I already decided to get it, so I walked with him to the counter. I wanted to engrave it with a London icon, he went and checked with the lady who was working on the engraving - I saw the lady shaking head but he came back and told me yes they could do it, and charged me for it. Paid, walked to the engraving machine, I was told that they couldn’t do the city icon — I explained that I was told they would (otherwise I’d just have chosen not to pay for the engraving). The lady — “we don’t have every icon you want” — ok, but I didn’t force anyone to engrave anything for me. Then I just asked for the refund for engraving and left. That guy was keeping asking her what happened while she was progressing the refund for me. I don’t blame her. I just feel sorry for her and anyone who has to work with such a colleague, and not getting a 5-star review for a supposed-to-be fantastic visit.
