  Really disappointed with our experience at KIKO today. We were standing in line with only three people left in front of us, and it was around 6 PM even though the store doesn’t close until 8 PM. A manager appeared to tell security to speak to the people in front of us. Security came and was speaking to the people infront of us but then the lady who appears to be the manger came by and waved in front of us letting security know to tell us to leave. We were completely confused as to why the line was being cut off when there were still two hours until closing. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that, while we were waiting, another hijabi woman came out and told us that she had experienced something similar before and that she believed she had been cut off from the line as well. We also later looked into the ownership of the company and found the information regarding its Israeli ownership. At this point, based on our experience and what we were told by another hijabi customer, it honestly left us feeling targeted and unwelcome. If hijabi women are repeatedly being turned away from the line while there is still plenty of time before closing, then maybe the store should just be upfront about who they do and don’t want shopping there. Very disappointing experience.

  Having been to Italy recently and discovering Kiko for the first time overseas, I can say that having a Kiko in New York is the best thing ever. The makeup selection is huge and I love how affordable everything is. The lipglosses are my favorite and I think it's cool that you can get engravings from whichever city you visit that has a Kiko! Definitely will be back again! The staff are very friendly too
